WELCOME TO THE HOME OF

NEW BEGINNINGS

Where early development is nurtured.

Our story

In November 2019 I reached my goal weight after losing 18 kgs. In that same month, I found out I was pregnant with my son, Genesis.

What followed was a pregnancy guided by the wellness journey I was on.

Throughout the Covid global pandemic, I continued to eat well, stay active, and carry forward what my own journey had taught me: the value of caring for myself through nutrition.

When Genesis arrived, that intention took on a whole new meaning. I wanted to give my son a foundation for a healthy and happy life.

But I soon realised that nurturing his health meant more than nourishing his body. It meant nurturing his curiosity, supporting his emotions, making room for play, and helping him discover the world around him.

That desire led me to explore early childhood development. The more I learned, the more I wondered: why had no one taught me this before? How many other parents were discovering it along the way, just as I was?

Those questions became the beginning of TSHIIMOO.

TSHIIMOO grew from my experience as a mother and a desire to make what I was learning more accessible to other families. It brings together learning, play, nutrition, and support for parents, with a belief that every part of a child’s development deserves care.

Through thoughtful resources and practical ideas, I hope to help parents turn everyday moments into opportunities to connect, nurture, and grow.

What began with my own journey became a purpose inspired by my son - and a wish to share that care with your family.

TSHIIMOO: INSPIRED BY GENESIS

TSHIIMOO is named after my son Genesis. His second name, Tshimologo, means "the beginning" in Setswana.

The name Tshimologo is often shortened to Tshimo. I added "moo", the sound that a cow makes and one of the first sounds children learn, so the name would be easy for little ones to remember.

These early years are a beginning that shapes everything that follows.

When you invest in the beginning, you change what’s possible.

WHAT GUIDES US:

  • Intention - The era of intentional parenting.

  • Simplicity - Children are not complicated.

  • Community - The belief that "it takes a village to raise a child".

  • Nurture - Nurturing the whole child. We view their cognitive, physical, emotional and social growth as interconnected.
